The LR Boot

Hier, on a eu droit aux premiers flocons de neige de la saison…
Et même si ça n’a pas tenu, ça compte quand même, non ? Emily et moi, on est arrivées au Studio avec ces boots aux pieds. Ensuite, avec Garance, on est parties en shooting, toujours avec ces boots. On peut donc dire qu’on est fans. Elles sont signées Loeffler Randall et franchement, c’est idéal pour affronter la pluie/la neige en ville. On peut même les garder toute la journée, plus besoin de changer de chaussures en arrivant au bureau !
Bon, quand la neige sera vraiment là, il faudra bien passer aux vraies duck boots, mais pour l’instant nos pieds restent au chaud (et au sec).

Those are indeed some of the cutest rain boots I’ve ever seen. But really? Can you really wear them all day? Don’t your feet still sweat in all that rubber? That’s the main reason I’ve given up on (and given away) all my rain boots. Drives me nuts.

I invested in those a few months back, having gotten rid of my Hunters (which are great…if you’re 12). The LR rain booties are minimalist, comfortable and really are suitable for all day wear.

I also recommend the ones from Tretorn , actually I am wearing my favorite pair now, in light green .
They are short and narrow and snug on your feet ( can be tall as well ), they have elasticated sides and they make then in a normal or narrow width , specially for women’s feet . I also have a matt black pair with orange soles , in the wider cut , for men, because sometimes I want the bigger flatter bulkier look for certain clothes I wear .
They are so perfect and light and yes, I wear them all day when it is raining on my commute to work , and when I am in the muddy countryside. Their colors are gorgeous.Check out the pale blue too.

I have long considered getting the LR rain boots that tie up for precisely this reason. They’re light & seem like they can be worn all day so I wouldn’t be stuck carrying a heavy rain boot home when it stops raining or carrying an extra pair of leather shoes that resemble them. But I’m not convinced that the rubber on the LR is great quality or that rain won’t come in the tie up version. So I this year during several weeks of torrential rain, I bought the Hunter Chelsea boot. Then it stopped raining.

LR used to have a lace-up version of these that were totally original and adorable. Sniff. I hope they re-issue.
