Let's Talk About

I’m a bit funny about toes, they give me the chills! So summer is a bit of a nightmare with everyones toes hanging out Yuk! I wish more people would wear covered sandals/shoes in the summer ;(

I agree! I just bought a pair and they gave me such bad blisters that I ended up giving them away!

What is this cute radio on the picture?
its a vintage battery radio! too cute right?
I always have such trouble with finding any footwear that would look good and be comfortable at the same time. And go with my outfits. Mission impossible.
In summer I often wear practical sneakers or sth like that. I don’t like them but I get blisters with almost any shoe in summer.
Of course sometimes our summers here are cool and rainy and no problem with summer shoes then…

Maybe a pair that laces up? Or a pair with a structured heel? They’re supposed to be pretty tight, because they stretch as you wear them. They’re cute but they don’t offer much support for NYC walking levels.

It was many years ago, but I still shudder when I see a pair of espadrille footwear. As you know one tends to do tons of walking the scenic streets of Rome. This was the only shoe I literally poured blood out of, at the end of days wear. To this day, it is the shoe that looks better on The Shelf!
Snag a pair of Lacoste Showcourt in gold…I’m dying for them!
J’aime vraiment beaucoup la version sur la photo, chic et vraiment portable, et féminine…parce que quand on fait du 41 c’est pas facile de porter des espadrilles en ayant l’air féminines ;-)

So cheap you can buy multiple pairs in multiple colors for when then wear out!
Oh, these are lovely! Thank you for sharing. I
Really? I can walk miles in those. The trick is they need to fit really well because the fabric will losen.
I think you’re on to something – I always forget they stretch out! :)
I can sum my shoes for summer as the free, open toes sandals and slippers that give me the sense of easy, quirky and on-and-go to the streets, But now I’m into the shape of the toes-shoes shape more than anything else! you know, something other then just round toes shape shoes are really getting to me and they are super comfy and amazingly chic, like here: http://www.fashionparadoxes.com/2016/04/06/others-than-rounds/
Oh! I drive a lot in my city, but I walk tons at work (like 6,000 steps a day? I know, still not like living in NYC) I have these espadrille wedges (https://www.etsy.com/listing/241437467/lace-up-espadrille-wedges-black) and I’m actually wearing them right now….they do not give me a problem.
I agree with the commenters that said make sure they fit tight at first because the fabric will loosen.
Floppy shoes! Oh no! My favorite espadrilles go the other way. They are a little too tight on my feet and cause blisters. I have another pair of lace-up ones that I just remembered, and I don’t ever wear them because they flop around, too! The only time I put them on is when they are the cutest thing for me to pair with a maxi, and I don’t have to walk much in the evening. Very awkward shoe fail.
Likely By Sea
Try some Spanish Avarcas- they are the ONLY leather sandal I have ever bought that has never required breaking in.. And if you ever go to Barcelona- you will see all peoples wearing them- and now they come in so many colors and even wedges (though I can’t vouch for their comfort!)
