Borrowed from the Boys

It may not be revolutionary, but I am compelled to sing the praises of the men’s button down shirt, the hardest working piece in my wardrobe. In my world, there really is not an occasion for which this shirt doesn’t feel just right… sharp and tucked in for evening, with jeans and clean accessories for day, or, as I’ve been wearing it lately, as a swim cover up over a bikini. The shirt fits in perfectly at the lake in Maine (where I’m currently quarantined), and takes me easily from day to night, which makes packing infinitely easier. I do actually find mine in the men’s department, ensuring an oversized fit, but there is no shortage of styling options for the persevering piece (and plenty of options that are made specifically for women). How do you wear yours?
I have been wearing mens shirts since I was a young girl (pretty long time ago) and I’m wearing them again since I have a hubs to steal them from ;-D (@fduister)
