I really like your photos from Bali! I have to say that in my trips to Tahiti and Guadeloupe, it was quite scary to sleep outside, because of the insects – I am scared of the myriapodes, their sting is so painful.

Have you ever been to the Shambhala resort Parrot Cay? A similarly serene and restful place (and closer to NYC). In 2002, I experience immense and dramatic healing of a terrible debilitating illness. Traveling to tropical areas is definitely out of comfort zone but I love it nonetheless. I went to the Amazon Rain Forest in Peru. People don’t realize that the romantic drapes over your beds are for the bugs, because there are a ton of bugs, and not just mosquitoes. If you keep an open mind it is still fun.
