Le noir l’été, moi je n’y pense jamais, mais ça peut être carrément majestueux. Encore plus porté avec de l’or, comme Giorgia…
Qui en plus d’être carrément majestueuse, vient de lancer sa marque. Ça s’appelle Like My Mother, et l’idée, c’est tout simplement de créer une ligne de robes en dentelle. Oui, oui, comme sur la photo. Chouette, non ?

Summer black is indeed quite splendid, but the piece has to be the opposite of grunge, and be either romantic or minimalist, or both. We’ve bought quite a lot of black summer pieces at my online store, from edgy little black dresses to lace blouses, and they just look so cool paired with summer shoes and bright accessories.

I’ve said it before and will say it again that we men cannot wear all black like a woman can. Of course there are designers like Rick Owens, Alex Wang, Balmain, etc. designing great pieces for men but I mean something simple as the black chemise. We never look as chic or completely put together than when a women does it, especially when it comes to formal wear.
I am an earthy tones and neutrals kind of guy but whenever I see a (albeit casual) look like this, it brings me great joy and is very inspires me a great deal.

I have to say I was covered into wearing black in the summer after a trip to Crete…a hot mediterranean island…where women are historically wearing black, same as in mainland greece, sicily and plenty of other HOT places. The insight is that it is allegedly because they are so close communities that they always happen to be mourning someone somewhere….but it’s a bit depressing so I choose to ignore that!
Now, to black. I really like it now in the summer as well 1) because it is different from all the sea of whites, 2) because it really helps with some pop up accessories and 3) because it is zoo easy and effortlessly elegant!

Les tissus de Like my mother ont l’air d’être bien travaillés, et en plus la collection est plutôt réussie.
