J’adore l’appartement d’Amanda Brooks. Son mélange éclectique de matières et d’imprimés.
Ses objets qui clashent. Ses tas de bouquins. Les immenses peintures colorées de son mari, Christopher Brooks. Les photos de famille. Les photos de famille taggées par leurs amis. La cuisine hyper claire et aussi le chien sublime. Ça sent la vraie vie !
Je suis sûre que vous connaissez Amanda, vous la voyez souvent ici. Elle a un style génial et est l’auteur du livre « I Love Your Style » et du blog éponyme, une mine d’or d’idées et d’images vintage.
Je voulais aller prendre des photos de son appart avant qu’elle ne quitte New York – elle vient de prendre une année pour travailler sur son nouveau livre dans la campagne anglaise avec mari, enfants et chien…

The blue and white painting on the wall is somehow very pleasing and uplifting. I love her dining table and the furniture in her bedroom. But as you said it’s especially cool because the interior really feels like it’s lived in.

Toujours beaucoup de clartê dans tes photos, comment fais tu pour rendre tes photos si lumineuses? … Bon en même, si tu me l’expliquais je n’y comprendrais pas grand chose, je n’ai pas d’appareil photo et je n’y connais pas grand chose.

Cet appartement reflete la joie de vivre de ses occupants. Couleur dominante : orange, meme le chien ! Belles photos lumineuses.
Very eclectic mix, but works so well. Very light airy looking apartment. It’s good how some people can mix lots of different styles but still make a place look uncluttered. I love the geometric print chair on the 5th photo.

Thanks for showing us Amanda’s apartment. I love her book « I love your style », so it was fun to see her interior decor style. The leopard print pillows are surprising. I do like the clash of prints, though. It’s a fun apartment.
