Anahi / 49 Rue Volta, 75003 Paris, France.
C’est très joli comme endroit!

the cracked wall tiles filled with Gold are stunning!! I LOVE it.
what a beautiful way to celebrate the broken pieces and make them beautiful. i want to do this in all aspects of my life, we don’t always need to fix everything, we can turn the cracked bits into brilliant gold accents. It is genius.
thank you so much for sharing this.
L’idee d’incruster du cuivre dans les lezardes est geniale ! J’adore ! J’en ai parle a mon mari qui m’a regardee d’un air inquiet ! :=)
SUPERBE !
Ces petits détails dorés de partout, la magnificence des présentations !!! C’est tellement compliqué de faire des photos de food jolies et qui donnent envie, là c’est juste parfait !

great pix! Anahi is a Parisian institution
But terrified of going back since they redid the decor…specially terrified that the rue jeune thing will be super chichi and hipster….affaire a suivre
Anahi was our headquarters since the very early 90’s….we lived there every night…by we I mean a gang of Latino and English expats that moved to Paris….
the Spanish owners now retired but still friends, Pilar and Carmen, said… »what you do in Anahi , stays in Anahi ».
Thank god for that because we were plenty bad and every evening ended at 3 am with people dancing flamenco on the tables
As a rule if you were an habitué when you arrived they would ask you for your door code so that if you got too « forgetful » at the end of the night , they would give your code to the taxi driver so he could punch it in for you
their Pisco Sours made you forget your code and sometimes more
I loved Anahi……hope that the ambiance has not changed and the Argentinian steaks are still as tasty as they used to be.

I mean Pilar and Carmina…the founders….their black and white portraits are in one of your shots

We stayed two doors down from here when we came in November and almost tried it but went to Ibaji, the Korean place, instead – the development of Rue du Vertbois is such a fascinating story; I bet in a few years time it’s going be on another level!
C’est chic dis donc ! Je trouve ça sympa l’idée de combler les lézardes avec les dorures !
was this space originally a butcher ……the white tiles….a feast for the eye and stomach….
was Anahi originally a butcher ……the white tiles….a feast for the eye and stomach….
This made me laugh out loud immediately. The designer’s sense of humour is …toothsome. White porcelain tiles filled with gold? Remember the old gold fillings for teeth? I’m surprised nobody has mentioned it….but then who sees gold tooth fillings anymore, eh?
thanks for that comment :)))
Hello GD Team!
Oh my God, I literally need to visit this place. Not that I would like to. I NEED to. I was born so sensible, I always somehow look at random beautiful things and leave myself fluctuating into its perfection. Honestly, if I visited this place, I would be probably speechless during the whole stay just observing how the interior plays together, how new meets old and how the rays of light add that finishing sparkle.
Amazing! This is what fascinates me – when the right people meet up, we can make fantastic things.
Thank you for giving us the right inspiration feed on a daily basis! I love having my breakfast and morning espresso while reading your blog! It’s the beauty that empowers me daily. Keep going!
Regards,
Katarina Bradacova

about the golden cracks > https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kintsugi
Absolutely luxe!
This reminds me of Kintsugi: “When the Japanese mend broken objects they aggrandize the damage by filling the cracks with gold, because they believe that when something’s suffered damage and has a history it becomes more beautiful.” – Barbara Bloom. That’s what the tiles on the wall look like.
Cet endroit est magnifique ! Ravie d’habiter Paris ; je vais y courir. Merci Garance.
Absolutely Stunning Images/Photography & Mouth watering Food.
Good Luck.
