Sun Bum

Yikes! That sunscreen contains oxybenzone, which penetrates the skin, enters the bloodstream and acts like estrogen in the body.
I went to the website but I couldn’t find the ingredients. That always tees me off anyway. Thanks for the heads up.
Cette crème a l’air géniale!

Cool sunscreen, will definitely try it out next time I go shopping :). My personal favourite sun-crean brand has got to be ‘Hawaiian Tropic’, it provides effective protection against the sun, whilst allowing your skin to be sun-kissed without burns :).

I prefer physical sunscreens, I would avoid a sunscreen with Oxybenzone.

I use « No-Ad », because it doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin. However, I’ve been trying for years to find a good physical sunscreen that doesn’t turn your skin white. If anyone has a recommendation, I would love one.

A sunscreen that doesnt get its fair share of appreciation: Prevage Sunscreen. Comes with a brush, making it easy to reapply. Blendable over foundation. Easy to throw in the bag and reapply on the go without using using fingers. Win ! Win ! Win !
Dear you all- those who want to get rid of chemical filters and cancer risks search no.more: the french brand dermatherm pur sun is for you: non greasy, physical, paraben free sunscreen ( iron and zinc oxyde), non whitening, non sticky, perfect for face too. It’s not too expensive either. Go for it!

I use an australian brand sunscreen: Blue lizard, the one for babies :-)
It’s efficient, doesn’t contain most of the known harmful chemicals (but I’m no expert, and it’s an ever growing list… so who knows) and the bottle, even though not as fancy as the one above, turns pink when there’s too much sun to remind you to put some sunscreen on.
It does leave a white film on your skin at first, but I find it blends in after some minutes.
I love Sun Bum. I discovered it a couple of years ago in Kauai. Did you know that they also make a small stick (looks like a tiny deodorant) that is great for carrying in your handbag? Just swipe it across your face. It goes on clear and is not greasy at all.
From beautypedia I discovered Kiss My Face Face Factor for face & neck. Physical blockers, good moisturizer/antioxidants, doesn’t go on looking chalky, and cheap! And of course the la roche posay line is great (though not for people who want to avoid chemical blockers)
Elizabeth, both excellent suggestions, and exactly the products I also use. And as you did, I found the Kiss My Face via Beautypedia. It is not expensive, so you can be liberal with it, as you should.
they had a pop-up booth at coachella!! such great stuff

only non-nano tech, titanium dioxide or zinc oxide suncreens for me. all the ones with oxybenzone, oxycinnamate and the like are either xenoestrogens or carcinogenic to the skin (yes! kind of defeats the purpose, no?)
It looks so cool that I have to try it!

MES VOYAGES A PARIS
I am really tanned during the year so it was never a priority for me to have really good sunscreen or tanning oil. But my priority was to look good at the beach no matter what. So that’s why I prefer wearing golden jewelries, they look so great on tanned bodies. You can see it by yourselves here: http://elisfa.com/post/92716487099/nothing-looks-better-than-gold-jewelries-on-tanned

It is extremely hard to find sunscreens that do not contain oxybenzone and most are very expensive.
I currently like Cliniques although it does contain oxybenzone and skinceuticals, which does not. For the kids Blue Lizarad is amazing.
I use that cream! Great post!

I have been using SUN BUM since they launched it. I LOVE IT!!! not sticky at all and it smells great!
SUN BUM! me tooo, discovered it in the Hampton’s and love it :)
…..their « baby » version called BABY BUM is their all natural version with zinc instead of chemical sunscreens. It has a nice light scent and consistency and rubs in all the way…no white hue. It’s the BEST natural zinc sunscreen I’ve found and trust me…I’ve tried a ton. As others have said: stay away from the chemical sunscreens with oxybenzone etc. Interested in more…check out http://www.ewg.org website all about the safety of sunscreen. You can find the one you’re using and read about all of the ingredients!
Where did you get it? I have been using the adult version for my kids, but I would much rather use the baby version! Thanks!
@Fashion Mon – I order mine from amazon.com. Way better version and it’s truly all natural. Why they don’t use that formula for the regular versions I’ll never get. Enjoy :)
Lovely packaging!
I discovered Sun Bum during our trip to Hawaii (http://fashion-for-the-rest-of-us.blogspot.it/2014/07/traveling-to-hawaii-with-kids.html), and I wish I had brought more back to Canada, where obviously it is impossible to find :(
My favorite sunscreen (and probably the only one ever that hasn’t broken me out) is the Sun Bum Face Stick. It’s a little sticky, but it works and is perfect for when you’re at the beach and don’t want to get your hands all sunscreen-y.
