I love her hair! And that you’ve brought the Garance aesthetic to the beach. Good luck!

Love her flawless skin and disobedient hair! ;)

I’ve never been to Brazil, but really looking forward to finding some up-and-coming designers from this country to stock in my store, brazilian fashion is all about vibrant colours and confident designs, I will probably try and go there early next year. I can’t wait to see your fashion story, best of luck!

I wish we had that kind of winter here in Europe,
But then again, if you have that kind of weather all the time, what fun is it?
I love to wear a sweater once in a while…

What an extraordinary natural beauty! And, yes, winter in Rio looks pretty harsh :D

Bon-courage-pour-ton-shooting-d’aujourd’hui !
Allez, bon shooting, choubidounette !
She looks incredible! I love her hair and the effortlessness of her outfit.

Good luck with your work for Vogue Brasil. I cant wait to see the pictures (I can read Vogue Brasil in my ipad). xx

Aaaaah yes! I remember Rio winters. My aunt’s apartment in Copacabana, getting up early in the morning, bikini on, towel around my waist, barefoot, and walking across the street to the beach. Every day, taking in the delicious sun and the powerful waves of the Atlantic ocean…
so pretty!!!

MERCI !

Absolutely love all things Brazilian (except for the bikini wax – ouch!)
I lived in Sao Paulo for a year with side visits to Rio & many other surrounding areas which were outstanding. You can find everything in Sao Paulo. It also has the largest Japanese population outside of Japan and a very large Italian population. Try the gyoza at the Sunday Japanese market downtown Sao Paulo. The people, geography, music, dance, food and art were most inspiring. I still wear the dresses from their local designers and my house & office are covered with original Brazilian artworks. Okay i’ll stop not but you get the picture. Lucky you Garance!

So beautiful! I’ve always wanted to go to Rio, and these pictures are gorgeous!! Love this giant purse by the way!
good luck shooting ! When you get some light cotton dresses post them!
Tall and tan and young and lovely
The girl from Ipanema goes walking
And when she passes
Each one she passes goes – aah
When she walks, she’s like a samba
That swings so cool and sways so gentle
That when she passes
Each one she passes goes – ooh

love her….i want to share a great site Espadrilles etc…. located in Alicante Spain…so many to choose from cheap and ships in less then 2 day!
Garance! I am so glad you are coming to my city, São Paulo!
Here go some tips:
– MIS (Museu da Imagem e do Som): It is a modern museum, about Image and Sound, Photography, Cinema, and all arts related. There is a great restaurant called Chez MIS
– Vila Madalena: It is a very cultural neighbourhood, lot of paulistas (ones who were born in sao paulo) artists come from there.
– Galeria Choque Cultural: Genuine urban art, modern graffiti, and young artists.
– Praça Benedito Calixto: It is a square in Pinheiros, at Saturdays there is an Antique Sale (http://www.justlia.com.br/2012/04/sao-paulo-praca-benedito-calixto/), don’t leave without eating « pastel », it is very typical in São Paulo. There are many decor stores around, and right in front there is « Feira Qualquer Coisa », something like « Anything Fair », young designers and stylists.
– Rua Augusta (near to center): it is a very modern street, in the past was an important commercial street, but then came the malls and the street was forgotten, prostitutes took the place, but a few years ago some young entrepreneurs invested in great show houses and in moderns bars, the place now is a reference of São Paulo’s night scene.
– Some stores at Oscar Freire: Havaiana’s Concept Store, Cavalera (typical paulista brand), Natura’s Concept store, Alexandre Herchcovitch (near to Oscar Freire), 2nd Floor (one of my favourites).
– Mercado Municipal de São Paulo (http://www.mercadomunicipal.com.br/): in the center of São Paulo, the most traditional gourmet point of the ciy, dont let the market without proving: Sanduiche de Mortadela, Pastel (any flavour).
– Festa Junina: It is one of the most important brazilian parties. We celebrate São João (Saint John), it is common to do the parties in churches and it happens in June, but some of them still happening in July, then it is called « Festa Julina ». You can go to: Igreja do Calvário (Calvario’s Church) on weekends till 8 July, Festa da Portuguesa on weekends till 9 July.
– Avenida Paulista: The most important Avenue of São Paulo
– Parque do Ibirapuera: a giant park in the heart of the city
Have a great time!!!!! I hope you keep good memories of us!
I love the dress, is beautiful with tanned skin looks perfect.

Oh my word! I’m obsessed with Rio de Janeiro, maybe it’s because I love the tropical weather and I’ve never been there, I can’t help it! I fantasize about it all day! Specially when it gets rainy here in Guatemala. Some people tell me they hate it but I know I will LOVE IT!!!
