#3 Vous vous demandez comment je vais les porter n’est-ce-pas? Garance m’a demandé la même chose et j’ai répondu: « Avec des chaussettes, je n’aime pas mes pieds ».
Ok, je sais que c’est déroutant. Pourquoi alors achètes-tu des sandales Brie? Bon, écoutez moi, j’aime les sandales, surtout celles avec un petit talon à porter dans la ville (pour que mes pieds aient plus de chance de ne PAS se faire écrabouiller par les passants). Et j’ai trouvées celles ci chez MNZ dans l’espoir d’ajouter une touche féminine à ma garde-robe estivale. Vous ne pensez pas que je suis sur la bonne voie?

Oui! Elles sont simples, élégantes, confortables, je comprends l’étiquette « grand-mère » mais selon la personne qui les porte cela peut vraiment bien rendre. En fait cela me fait penser à mes ballerines fausses repetto vernies noires à petits talons, comme ça on pourrait aussi penser « shoes de grd-mère » mais sur moi ça rend très bien, j’ai bcp de compliments!

They are back in fashion! My mum used to have and wear the same model. I guess they are comfy for running around.

Well actually i think these sandals would look even better with socks ! Of course you need to find the right socks, maybe some with lace, but i think it’s always a question of styling when you’re afraid a piece of clothing looks like your grandma’s. I’m sure these will look amazing on you !
Yes, lace socks with sandals would look amazing. Amazingly good on a little girl and amazingly bad on a grown-up person.
I think with grey socks. Thats how I wear them. Its a little bit less shocking then white, but not like you are hiding with black. They are very versatile that way. Honest. Roll up your boyfriend jeans, wear a sheer midi skirt. Perfect in tons of ways.
I love these and don’t think they’re granny at all; they’re edgy ;). But not with socks. That’s only for German tourists.

ps : I read that you lived in California and was always ready to head to the beach. So…. How did you do back then in your previous californian life? You never wore sandals nor flip flops???
Love them! I have been wanting some of Maryam’s Sophie sandals for a while now (although I’m not sure I’d wear them with socks, I’m not opposed to the idea on someone else).
Come on… Studio Garance please lead the way from terming something « Grannie » as if it means unfashionable, etc. Best you to talk to Carine Roitfeld about that! ;)

Alors comment dire… ces sandales avec des chaussettes…euh je n’y crois pas un seul instant. Mais je demande à voir. Bon et puis ces sandales tout court….euh ouais si tu as 20 ans et un style très très hype parce que sinon désolée mais là pour le coup, je suis comme Garance, je dis « pourquoi ??? » ah ah (ce n’est que mon avis hein !!)

I am surprised that these classic sandals are considered old fashioned. I always look for this sort of thing in the summer, although my preference is tan. These sandals look perfect to me.
No socks with these, for heaven’s sake!

Socks with heels is one (pretty) thing, but socks with sandals is always a no. Especially with these… sorry Brie but I’m putting my veto here.
Woahh, such negativity on the socks. I’m pretty sure you could definitely rock these with pastel coloured socks, Brie! Just show us when you do and prove the nay-sayers wrong ;)
With socks, definitely. I have a similar pair, and thats how I wear them too.

I DO love them. In fact, I’ve coveted those very ones on many a website. They’re so granny that they’re cool. And I should know, cuz I’m a granny. But no socks for me. I picture myself being carted off to the asylum in socks and sandals, with my bag-lady attire. If you’re young and cute, go for it!
